Sample Itinerary India- 11 day program (Mumbai)
Please understand that the developing world functions very differently than the United States. This is especially true when it comes to schedules and timelines. Unanticipated circumstances and last-minute changes are an accepted fact of life in the developing world. Despite our best attempts to plan thoroughly, the itinerary below will change as the departure approaches and even once the students are overseas. Students often say that learning to be flexible and accepting different (and often challenging) cultural practices is one of the most valuable things they take away from a World Leadership School trip.
World Leadership School selects communities based on several factors, including the number of students, number of homestay families, status of a given service project, and the donations raised by students. We will select the community as early as possible, but no later than one month before departure. Service projects are determined according to the needs and desires of the host community. Based on community input, sometimes projects change at the last minute. Please remain flexible to the changing circumstances, delays and other hurdles that are common throughout the developing world.
